Η Aircraft Pilot Training School her Thessaloniki Aeroclub , it was the first civilian pilot training school aircraft which operated in Greece with an approval code from the Civil Aviation Authority (Ministry of Public Works.) GR-RF-001 and has been operating continuously since its establishment in 1970, while hundreds of airplane pilots have graduated from it, many of whom currently work for some of the largest airlines!
Today the school operates as a DTO (declared training organization) with an approval code from the Civil Aviation Authority (Ministry of Public Works) DTO EL-005
The School is Approved Training Institution and strictly follows the EASA European Training Standards (European Aviation Safety Agency) under which the European Private Pilot License PPL (Pprivate Pisland Licence) and LAPL (Llight Aaircraft Pilot's Licence) Education at the School is divided into two sections, the Theoretical Education (soil) and the Flight Training (air).
Η Theoretical Education is held at the Aeroclub facilities located at Kolchikou Airport It is extensive and includes video projections, presentations, specialized books, aeronautical aids, etc.
During Theoretical Training, the following 9 course modules are taught:
- Air Law
- Operational Procedures
- Principles of Flight
- Aircraft General Knowledge
- Flight Performance & Planning
- Navigation &RadioAids
- Human Performance&Limitations
- Meteorology
- Communications / VFR Communications
The lessons take place in the new, fully equipped, Theoretical Training room of the Aeroclub at Kolchikou Airport Dingle.
H Flight Training It also starts from the Aeroclub facilities in Colchicus airport and consists of at least 45 hours of flight time on the School's airplanes, all of which are equipped with the most modern instruments and flight systems, while following a procedure approved by the Hellenic Aviation Administration. Flight Training Program, which is designed to provide a comprehensive and safe education.
After successfully graduating from the School, the student undergoes a Written Exams in the above 9 course modules, which are conducted at the S.PO.A. (School of Civil Aviation) of the Ministry of Public Health. The questions are in the multiple choice format and the passing score for each course is 75%.
Before the student proceeds to the air test, he/she must also successfully pass the English language proficiency test which is carried out either at the examination centers approved by the Ministry of Education or at corresponding examination centers via the internet and must hold Class 2 Health Certificate. These certificates are issued by private Aviation Medical Centers, the details of which are provided by the Secretariat of the ALTH.
The minimum level of English proficiency required to conduct flights is level 4. The school's Secretariat can guide you through the examination procedures.
Finally, after successfully completing the written exams, passing level 4 in English language proficiency and after the student has completed the minimum flight hours required by the Legislation and has been deemed competent by his instructor, he is now ready for the final Air Examination and obtaining his degree.

- Photocopy of Police ID or Passport
- Copy of Criminal Record for general use (issued by the Criminal Records Office)
- Class 2 Medical Certificate from an Aviation Medical Center (before the start of flight training)
- The cost of flights is paid according to the applicable price listafter each flight and, therefore, is adjusted by the student depending on the frequency of his/her flight.
